Default Losi...super torquing their screws!

Was taking apart my 810 to change the diff fluid today for my E-conversion...I must say Losi torqued the crap out of a lot of the screws on my car to kingdom come. I'm not a weak guy and I work on aircraft in the USAF and know how much force I need to torque something. I'd say well over 100lbs on these little screws . I was on my last diff(front) and on last screw to open it up and noticed the head of it was already rounded out before I even touched it.. Mad...I call up Losi and talk to the tech and explain to him. He thought I was having issues with the lock tight ones...Those were easy I told him and he got quiet like I was tryin to pull wool over his eyes.
I was like listen I cranked on these things with my Losi racing wrenches I just bought to work on this car and if I used a non titanium wrench it would have stripped or snapped that's how tight these were on. He wanted me to send them the car to possibly replace at first then just decided to send me couple packs of new screws. I was hoping for a new diff so I didn't have to work on getting that stuck screw out of the one I got but he didn't offer that. But I made sure to make it a point for him to say something to whoever is working on the production line to tone down their screw guns putting these things together hehe.

Strange, that it always happens to the front diff. In my Ten-SCTE two of the screws in the front diff were so tight that I had to cut a groove in the head with a dremel to take the diff apart.

No idea but if I damage the diff trying to take it out I'm calling Losi back up and asking for a new one. Because they had no direct protocol to take them out so whatever does it does it and if it gets damaged I'll call them back up for a new one because the screw was their fault to begin with . This is a brand new car it hasn't even been run once.

It's pretty clear to me that although development and design of Losi products is on par with the best of the best, there are obvious issues with materials and assembly pretty much across the board. Not a shot, just a fact. If you like the way the stuff drives and handles, you make due I guess.

I sent their feedback email address an e-mail about the issue to make sure they pass on info to some body. I don't always trust the first person on talk to on the phone to get the job done.
