Gens ace are better than max amps. I have used them for a long time and they are among the best in the business. I buy nothing else any more I have max amps, reedy, losi, zippy, and a few others and my gens ace are overall my favorite do to price and performance!! Go with 40c or 50c.

Default Lipo

I just picked up some new 5000 30-40C Turnigy packs from hobbyking.com. They were 25 shipped each. They take roughly 4 days to get here. I have run them for awhile and haven't had any problems. I run with guys who have $100+ hyperion and reedy packs. I don't notice much of a difference

i have two 40c 5000mah gens ace packs that i use for practice.

i have one 65c 5000mah protek pack from amainhobbies that i use to race.

there is a hugely noticeable difference with the protek pack, tons more punch and suddenly the triple and crossover is a LOT easier to get over. its almost like i put the slipper in a full turn.

now if only i could run 50 degree's of timing and not have my motor come back after 7 minutes at 240 F. 30 will have to do...

The gens ace packs have been put up against name brand packs in a shootout (either URC, or Red RC, or oople, cant remember which) and hold their own against name brand packs with the same ratings.Definitely a mega bang for your buck li-po..I have 3 of the 4000 packs and have had zero issues. All 3 arrived pretty much closely ballanced with a storage voltage in them.Plus hobby partz/nitrorcx offer better customer service than hobby king and the gens ace 4000, and 5000 are ROAR approved hardcase packs.considering a while back I was paying more than 80.00 for an orion lipo and now i get 3 for that price, you cant go wrong...

I'm running Gens Ace 40C 5000mah pack with no issues. I bought them because they were inexpensive, standard size (unlike the Turnigy's that I replaced) and ROAR approved. So far the performance has been better than the Turnigy's. Hard to argue for $30 per pack.
