i have had my hpi mt 2 4wd and haven't had any problems with it until now.

i was zooming it around like everyone does untill i noticed when i reached about half its max speed it started to crackle, the faster i went the louder it got. i thought it was my break pad rubbing so i loosend it of but it still makes the sound, any ideas???

did you check your slipper clutch . or it just might be a gear mesh problem

Don't forget to check the clutch shoes too!

Do engine rpms go up but no increase in speed?

Did the pipe get disconnected?

did you break a tooth off one of the diff gears?

is anything stuck in the dogbones. (remember the cards on bkie wheels) is something wrapped around and flapping?

Sounds like the diff, normally the slipper won't make that noise.
