Default Lipo saddle question

I would like to order saddles for my future ZX5 FS2 but I would like to find 2s saddles(per small packs) for a 4s total setup

is that possible? or is it always 1s per saddle?

with some research I found that maxamps is making 3s saddles but I would like 2s per saddle

thanks
Karl

What you are looking for doesn`t exist . Saddles packs are 7.4 volts total , 3.2 per saddle .

That car won`t handle 4S if it was even possible to get saddles in that configuration .

The closest thing I can think of is the new shorty packs as initially used in the Losi 22. Or even some 6v LiFe packs.

You would need to modify the car for these to fit as they are longer than lipo saddles.

Guys guys guys! all cars can handle up to 6s if tuned properly

im talking about a 1500kv 540 motor.... on 4s! thats not many rpm

but a lot of run time with much less heat

thank you 1 I will take a look at these shorty packs! I am able to fit 2 shorty packs in my SC-R but they wont fit in my RT5

too bad turnigy does not make shorty packs lol

why wouldnt it handle 4s?

14.8v(4s) x 1800kv motor = 26640 rpm
550watts of power / 14.8v = 37.16 amps of heat (heat is bad)

7.4v(2s) x 4600kv motor = 34040 rpm
550watts of power/ 7.4v = 74.34 amps of heat (heat is bad)

the 14.8v setup will run 3 times longer than the 7.4volts setup...

why wouldnt it handle 4s?

the FS/FS2/FS2SP wont fit a 4cell saddle pack. already have to search for one around 25mm thick. just isnt enough room to fit one if u did manage to find a 4cell. between the center brace and the body the clearance isnt there.

Cooper, I found a way to make it fit

each saddle is consisted of 1s in parrallel. I will take it appart to connect it in series so every saddle will be 2s but with 1/2 the mAh capacity

then I will be able to have a regular saddle on 4s

what do you think?
