started to look at Hobby Wing products. I really like their ESC and motors, they are decent.
Xerun products have been great for me. I have heard this is the same OEM as speed passion ( You can use there firmware on the ESC's)

I have a few races on all mine no issues at all. Much better performing than my MMP. My only problem in my 22 last race is figuring how to keep the front tires on the ground

The 4600kv is the highest kv rated 4pole motor that castle makes of I'm not mistaken. I have two 4600's one in a scb and one in a hyper 10tt, they both have way to much power for the track.
The announcers at two different tracks call me "big air Sinclair"

In the 1406 series of motors Castle has a 4600, 5700, 6900, and 7700kv 4 ploe motors. A little bit longer in size is the Castle 1410 series and has the 3800kv and is what alot of guys run and bash in both 2wd and 4wd SC's. The 4600kv or the 3800kv SC motor are the two most popular for racing purposes and have usable power on the track.

Seems like you wanted this 6900 no matter what several people advised you to do in the thread. I think the hardest part of beginning sc is listening.

sometimes people listen to the wrong people to hard to figure out who is right on a web site.you have to go back and read some of there post to see if there being honest or just messing with people.

well i wanted a fast motor, I took into consideration of what everyone told me. as the thread states though novak vs castle. I was in between those 2. as i stated somewhere above ill most likly just enjoy this for a little bit then sell it with my batterys and go with a low kv higher battery 3 or 4s But I wanted a higher kv motor now since i have 2s batterys and if its 2 much for what I need I can just turn it down on the esc. but if i ever want to race someone or something I know i got the power just need to change settings in the esc. But pretty sure I should of went with the 4 pole motor.

Well... maybe not. I can't say for other ESC's but Castle has some really great tuneing options that can make your 6900kv really good for you. This also goes for a post on the previous page where the guy turned his End point dow to 80. If you don't already have a programmer for your castle get one. Go into the programming and have your ESC "Learn" the motor. The you can then mess with the Torque controll feature and that will limit the torque through out the RPM range without limiting your motors top end.

I can't find the website to give you the link but with gearing you want to gear your truck so you are @ WOT (Wide Open Throttle) in the fastet part of your track. Your motor will run more efficiently and cooler giving you better run times. If you tweak with your Punch and Torque controll you will have a truck that is less likely to spin out on you and has the top end speed for your straight.

Alright, Thanks. well my motor showed up yesterday did a quick hook up. and it did not seem to run that good. Hopefully today my 4mm bullets will show up so I can charge my lipo's and see how that works.....One thing is, I hear a clicking noise when I run it even slow cant figure out where it is coming from somewhere in the back end. If i get a chance today ill take a video and maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I got my pinion gear pretty tight so im petty sure its not that slippen. my cluch is as tight as it goes, plus it does it when the back tires are off the ground.

The clicking noise is either to much endplay or gritty bearings. The 4pole motors have a Kevlar wrap around the rotor, I'm not sure if the cm36's do though. Its possible that the Kevlar is unraveling
