Werks 1/8 4 shoe clutch
Has anyone used these? Any recommendations on what shoes to use, (carbon, teflon, or rulon)?
I would be using it on a hyper7 buggy. Thanks

You should go with carbon/gold spring for starters. Most people I have heard of run that combo. You might want teflon if you have a peaky engine (Like a hyper 8 port) with not much low end and a ton of high end. The teflon slips a little to keep the engine from bogging at lower rpm. The externally adjustable unit is out now but if you've already bought the original one, they have a conversion (get it) for like $15.

Yes, a 2mm hole is necessary. I guess this must be done with care because a burr inside the bell could eat the shoes fast.
The RVM Speed 2 comes with the bell already drilled. (I think)
Hoooray! It's been a long time coming but we finally have easily adjustable clutches in offroad, where they are neede most.
