Default Is there anyway to physically tell what castle 4 pole motor you have?

I recently acquired a castle 4 pole motor , I am just unsure of the kv. I know castle has a way to test it if you hook it up to the computer but is there anyway to tell physically how many kv it is? Maybe by measuring the length of the can ? Thanks

What is the motor for 1/10th or 1/8th? It should say on the end of the can.

It's for a 1/10th scale 540size 4 pole , I didn't see anything on the can , I know the 8th scale size motors have the cans labeled with the kv. The side of the can on mine is finned and all it says is 4 pole for more torque. Just by looks alone , the can is pretty short so I am guessing its prob. A 3800kv since the others seem longer with the finned cans.

Post a picture of it and measure the length of the can in mm. We will be able to tell what it is most likely.

If there are ridges on the can and it isnt 550 sized then it has to be a 1410 3800Kv motor as the other 4 pole motors dont have ridges on the can .

I just checked castles ws , they state the 3800kv can is 2" , and the 2400kv is a bit bigger/longer. I'm guessing it's a 3800kv , gonna go measure it. Anyone wanna trade for 2400kv shoot me a pm & Ty for the help.

I just looked at my 3800 and it says "4 pole for more torque" on one side, but the other side says 1410 3800kv etc. Yours should also...
