If it means anything....Look at the front spindle/hub setup on the TLR22.

That is a 4WD front spindle carrier if I've ever seen one! Hope this means there is a TLR44 in the future.

They just released the Mini 8ight and the 5ive T..........that must have some significance.........right? I am surprised that they released a 1/14th scale 8ight instead of a 1/10th scale.

thats the one thing we have all talked about why release a odd size 1/14th scale when it should have been a 1/10th in that same platform

1/10th gear diffs with upgrade parts and it would be in the shopping cart

thats pretty much identical ( may even be the same part #) as the spindles for the xx4 and the xxx4 that theyve used for years. so id say its a way to continue to sell their current stock and makes parts cheaply

I thought the 810 was the 1/10 version of the 8IGHT.

It's still considered a 1/8 scale, even though it has the bulk of 10th scale.

Sigh, I'd love to see some new designing in a 4wd buggy. Well, Durango took care of that...

That's odd, since the SCTE is basically the same thing with a body over it.

SCT are basically an 1/8 scale, so it's close enough.

I think there are some pretty strong signs that we will be seeing a 1/10 4wd soon. Not to repeat, but if they can show that the 8ight geometry scaled down can work in all sizes (the 1/14 mini, the Ten/810/Tensct, and the Five sct), then it will surely work for 10th scale. If you see the promo video of the Five sct, the guy says outright that the geoemetry works no matter what the size of the vehicle.

On the 22, they've already got an aluminum chassis figured out, nice big bores, and some solid plastic parts. How much more is there to it in terms of making a nice robust, and forgiving 1/10 4x4 buggy?

All we have to do now is play the waiting game (and begging, whining, crying, and fantasizing... game :)
