Default RX8 will not calibrate with radio

I just updated my rx8 via hotwire and now it will not calibrate with the radio. I am using a spektrum dx3r. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Maybe your connection on your rx8 is bad I know mine went out from using hot wire so much. The 3 wires 1 could have a bad connection on it happen to me as it did funny things like that. Make sure your rx is getting power to.

Set all your travel or end point for throttle and brake at 100% befor you start and the rx has to be binded first to before you calibrate the esc.

I will try to re-bind, and adjust the endpoints, but wouldn't the fact that I have steering say that I am bound?

Yea true but could be a glitch in radio signal. Sometime when you use hotwire when doing an update it losses the info. At least it happened to me on my rs

Alright, so I made sure my brake and throttle were at 100% and re-bound the radio. Still same problem. Still have steering. The first and second and the last two lights are flashing before and after doing the one touch calibration. Also, there is a faint clicking from the motor.

I know when its calibrated right. 100% brake and throttle should light all lights up and flash. So pull the brake lights should start lighting up the more u go. Till u hit 100% then they should flash same thing with throttle. If its not like that it calibrated wrong. I beleave calibration is full brake neutral. full trottle

Calibration is neutral, full brake, and then full throttle. I have sent Randy Pike a message, so hopefully he will get back to me soon!

Didn't know that good info on rx8. I just got mine and its fine. but I used hotwire and it had the old software in it. First time I hooked up to hotwire it updated. So I must have got an older one.

I think I spoke to early, it could be a number of things the lights mentioned means wrong motor profile. He can try holding two buttons on RX8 to master reset. It should be on profile 3 for the scx 4.5The tekin rep will help you out they are great
