Default Hpi Mt2 Ss

I saw in the new RCCA (September) that HPI is going to make a kit version of the MT2. It will be the SS and it will have a .18ss motor and other upgrades. Has anyone else seen anything. There is nothing on the HPI webstie... that I have seen.

Current MT2 owners what do you think of your truck?

I want to build another kit and I would like to learn more about the MT2 SS. That way I could compare it to the upcomming OFNA Blazer SST (which I figure will be available in a kit shortly after the RTR comes out....)

Thanks!

Don't ya hate it when they show something in a magazine that ya gotta have and it's no where to be found? You would think HPI's website would have something about the MT2 SS!

I have an MT2 and Cannot leave well enough alone!
Broke-in the T-15 engine, runs great, idles forever. so so power.
I run only on the street so I did the following.

I installed a TRX 2.5 with dynamite hard anodized T-Maxx header and pipe. It fits perfect.

I also installed the HPI 2 speed for the MT. WHOA! Tallk about fast!! With the stock tires it gets pretty squirley at the top end, so I installed a set of HPI 2.2 truck On Road tires. It lowered the C.G. and lost a touch on the top speed due to the lower profile of the tires but it is still stupid fast!

I also installed HPI purple extra firm springs to keep the rear from coming around on turns.

Well...More MT2 Mods!!!
It is sick! Too much money not enough sense!
Purple aluminum everything or carbon fiber.
It got heavier but the two speed with the TRX 2.5 coupled to RD logic header and CVEC pipe.....this thing hauls!!!
I am not done yet. a couple more mods to come so stay tuned!

I have the original mt. It is a great truck. The only difference between my mt and the mt2 was the engine, I have all the other mods. I have a fantom fr18 in my mt. Hell of an engine.
