Default HW 1/8 80amp ESC ?

Does anyone run this on their 1/8 buggy?

http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-xerun-80a-sd.html

I have had 2 Castle Mamba Monsters crap out on me and need a cheap replacement/backup till I get them back from Castle its already been 2 weeks a they are telling me (4+++) weeks more.

Wondering if the 80amp is enought, running a HB Ve8 with a Savox servo.

Thanks

Thanks Bro.

It says <2400kv which confused me a bit. I am running a 2200 Castle motor or a Tekin 2250kv am kinda worried it may not work.

What size motor did you run?

Ran an 80a for 2 years in 808 buggy and 150a in xt8 truggy. 150a seems to deliver more punch IMO. I am looking forward to trying the sensored setup. These are by far the most reliable esc I have ever owned.

I ran it with my 2250kv tekin motor, but IMO this esc is better and not much more:

Cool, just looking for an inexpensive alt. until I get the Castle's back so I can sell them and get a Tekin. My buddy just got his back for Tekin in about a week.

Castle's 4+ weeks is just crazy. I am done with Castle.

I've run both the HW 80amp sensored/sensorless and sensorless only. Obviously the sensored version is smoother. Both are great and very reliable. The 80amp is rated for up to 4s and that's all I used it for. I know other racers that have used this ESC for over 2 years straight racing almost every weekend and no issues. It's a great ESC for the money.

Yeah prim just get the hobbywing one and you'll be fine......... I am done with castle as well, the only items I liked from them were the castle mamba max pro and castle 1410 3800kv motor, other then that its all tekin or speed passion for me......... Make sure to get it asap since they offer a 10perc. discount if you use gens10 during checkout........

we use the 80 amp ones in our rtr cars. They are fine for the price. Dont expect to be able to do what the $$$$ ones can do if you are racing though.

Just a back up until I can sell the Mamba's and get a Tekin.
