I can't remember if I tried the spur. i know the pads fit in the stock spur (though thicker) but i don't think I tried the spur. i can check and let you know in a day or so.
I want to try them with a Rear configuration. At some point (when I have MONEY!!!!) I want to get 2 VMR2 chassis, one in Rear and one in the Mid configuration with the same equipment and see how each does.
I need to finish assembly, the good news is no shortage of tires. I'll be able to use my previous B4.1 tires since my Current 4.2 has the hex.

I don't hink any mods are needed. I think they slot in just fine. I know I tried the Atomik rims on the B4 and it went on w/o a hitch.
Talked to Joey about his build and he said the AE rims are much lighter than the AT rims, so if saving weight is important, it could be a viable option.

Alternate Body
At the track last night, small turnout, but tried different bodies on V2MR and found that a Kyosho RB5 body is very close, with enough room to use velcro on tub sides for mounting for guys that are tired of losing body clips. Just an option since Atomik is rather slow on making replacements available. Russ

Hey everyone, I am a small Venom/Atomik dealer and ordered a V2MR when they became available. It sat on my shelf for a little while since I've been transitioning from on road back to dirt. Its been about 20 years since I raced dirt!
Anyway, I was very impressed with kit overall. I had to clean up the front arms slightly, and my shocks were 1 e-clip short, but I was able to find one. I raced the buggy on Friday in a 17.5 sportsman class that was mixed with 4wd buggies. It was my first time driving the car, and basically spent the whole time tuning everything. The car handled very well, the rear stayed planted and front end push wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I did a practice day with the car yesterday and finally got the gearing where I wanted. All was well until the a pin snapped in one of the cvd's. I'm thinking the notch weakens them excessively. What does everyone think about using a roll pin instead?
I can also confirm that DE racing B4 rear wheels fit perfectly. The fronts are a bit more dificult. With the Associated bearings I found that the axle is a tad short so you cannot tighten the screw all the way. So, they work, but you have to tighten until they bind and then back off and let the loctite set up.

I'm glad that you like the car, it really does drive well. I will try to get an updated setup posted shortly. Yes, roll pins work fine in the CVD's. That's what I have in my car. I wish I had advice for your wheel situation but I'm running the Atomik wheels.

I look forward to seeing it! I'm running a tekin RS boosted with a Venom Red 17.5 and 24/77 gearing. I had some servo geometry issues with a Savox 1251 installed. It sat too far forward. I just swapped it for a 1233SG which is enormous but fast! I thinned out the servo mounts to 3 mil to scoot the servo back and cut out the chassis for the back of it...worked out perfect with the fullsize stick pack. I'm waiting for them to get stock on some shorties and saddle packs so I can try them out. Here's how it came out.
As far as the wheels, I'm running some of both rims in the front. I'm just keeping the axles attached to the wheels and swapping axles
