I would expect to see them show up on stores this week but Horizon indicates early September. Orion's website shows them in stock.

The R10 Pro is what I want.

That is one SWEET looking ESC!
Any ideas how much this one is going to sell for on the "street"?

Very true. The R10S, R10SC and the Vortex R8 are exactly the same as the SC10 and SC8 Hobbywings, and the Vortex R8 pro, is exactly the same and the XeRun 150 Hobbywing.

IF they aren't Hobbywings, then it's a very large coincidence that they all look exactly the same with the same specs.

Oh, and it's really strange that their programming card looks exactly the same too.

can you provide some links where they are looking the same? I'm not seeing any hobbywing products that look exactly like the orion speedos. Slightly similar but not all that close. I would really like to see it for myself before i believe it's rebadged hobbywing stuff. Orion does rebadge stuff but it's hard to believe they went from KO to hobbywing.

http://www.hobbywing.com/upload/car/ezrun_sc8.jpg is the same as

http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uplo...onVortexR8.jpg

http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=457 is the same as

http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uplo...ortexR8Pro.jpg

http://www.hobbywing.com/english/Art...?ArticleID=419 is the same as

http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uplo...exR10Sport.jpg the fan even has the same screws missing

Obviously the plastics are slightly different and different colors.

The only one that doesn't have a Hobbywing twin is the R10 Pro, and I bet Hobbywing just hasn't released their version of it yet.

Of course there is nothing wrong with this, Hobbywing makes awesome ESCs, just don't pay extra for the Orion name.

I can gurantee you that there is no relation between the hobbywing stuff and the Orion Sensored ESC's

This means that the R10 pro, R8 sensored, and R8 pro, are developed and produced by team orion.

Now, the sensorless ESC's may have some relation to the hobbywing stuff, but I am not sure.

So you're saying that the R8 sensorless ESC, which looks exactly like a Hobbywing SC8(I have one) could be a rebadged Hobbywing, but the R8S sensored ESC, which uses the exact same case, has no relation to Hobbywing.

Whatever buddy.

rebadged usually has a negative connotation associated with it, like somone is ripping someone else off, etc....which i think why everyone is so defensive and quick to defend/deny.

correct term in this case is private label.

and yes, i agree, looks like its all private label stuff. private label stuff CAN be exclusive to the brand (proprietary), purely depends on their contracts. its not necessarily assumed that hobbywing will come out with the same ESC, all depends on agreed terms in contract, but its very likely (unless orion paid big $$$ and owns the design) that there will be a hobbywing ver.
