Default Tire Insert

I am thinking of using a med to hard insert in tire for a med traction pure clay track. Anyone tried harder inserts with the hope of more traction ?

What you think ?

If you are seeing a lot of tire rollover then it might be worth it. If the track is smooth then definitely. Rougher tracks will still benefit from the forgiveness of a softer insert keeping more tire in contact with the uneven surface. depending on what you mean by "medium traction" softer might be better for the same reason as for rough tracks... more tire in contact. It is a balancing act only solved by experimentation. That's my opinion.

I agree 100%

That said, don't be afraid to try them on rougher tracks. My local track gets rough as the layout dries, but traction goes up. Stock foams, Bomb1s, etc. roll too much for my liking, and I'm loving the JC blue foams at the moment. It can get a bit squirrley over the really rough stuff, but I still prefer them.
