Can't go wrong with RC Monster or Tekno.

Or Losi's own conversion. Best motor mount IMO.

Losi kit works great.

The Losi kit is fine, but the Tekno is better. It has a lower battery tray that keeps the battery closer to the chassis. That improves handling.

Losi kit with the Elite RC motor mount is what I have in both buggy and truggy, rock solid. Just make sure you put foam on all sides of battery tray, otherwise it will break in half sooner or later from the battery strap tension.

Yes, I watched my Lipo eject off a 30 foot double....

IMO, the tekno conversion lowers the COG, moves everything towards the center line, balances the chassis left and right plus for and aft. it allows the use of mech brakes and makes the layout more simple. cant lose!

I have a Losi 8T with a Tekno kit and will be waiting for the arrival of another 8T. Of course I'm converting that one and the best one looks like the Tekno V4.

It is a little more expensive ($34 more than the Losi kit) but its specifically designed for the conversion. Not just a battery tray and motor mount.
It has a complete chassis with driveshafts and the truggy kit even includes a rear chassis brace.

But its cheaper than the Losi kit and Elite motor mount that others have recommended anyways.

Its your nickel.

Just to update this thread so everyone else knows, if you are converting a Losi 8T 1.0, (which is what I'm doing) according to the Tekno instructions you also need to purchase a rear driveshaft, both 2.0 shock towers, body mounts and a 2.0 body.

Now the cost was almost $100 more than what the Losi kit was. For strictly racing, it might make sense but for me, it's mostly bashing.

See if you can guess which one I'm getting from Amain now?
