Default ROAR approved Hobbyking lipos

Just found out HK have ROAR approval on their 4500 4S hardcases.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10869

Hopefully they'll bring out a 5000 4S Hardcase soon

I would not believe the sales slogan without verifying on roar's approved listing on the roar website. Other sites have done something similar.

It's not on the approved list as of now.

Those batteries still have poorer cells and wiring. The Gens Ace batteries are still far better.

I wouldn't be caught dead at a ROAR event with these!

This is coming from someone that has owned both. So I am not just a brand lover.

Yes, always cross-reference ROAR's approved list and don't take a companies' word for it. Especially if the word officially is mis-spelled, "officialy" on the companies' engrish website.

The ROAR list is here: http://www.roarracing.org/?page_id=259

haha didn't notice the Chinglish spelling.

To be honest it doesn't really bother me as i have never and probably will never race a ROAR event (i race for fun, not for politics) but i thought it was worth a link. HK have been known to copy a few designs here and there but i doubt they would go so far as to fake ROAR approval. Time will tell i suppose.

For the HK haters, convince yourself how ever you like. HK are still the best value lipos on the market.

I've owned over 20 HK packs and only ever had 1 issue (puffed cell after about 10 cycles). I estimate i've saved well over $1000 from using HK lipos (not to mention chargers, connectors etc.) so for the 1 pack i lost i'm still way ahead of anyone shelling out twice or even 3 times the price for the same cells in different wrapping.

I have eight Turnigy 5000mah 2S batteries. Why you say? Because they are under $30 each!!!! Who needs a field charger.
