Default going electric need advice

Hey guys, I'm new to rc tech and kinda new to rc. The last rc I had was a Tamiya hotshot about 25 yrs ago. I bought a 8 2.0 rtr about 3 months ago and love it. Done a few upgrades and now think I want to go electric. Plan on ordering the Techkno conversion kit in the next couple of days but I'm kinda confused on motors. I am looking at the mambas but don't know wether to go 2200 kv or 2650, also looking at Tekin but the price and easy pay on the Mambas is very atractive. Running at local track, fairly small track with maybe 125' straight at most. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,

Thumbs up Here ya go buddy!

depends on your battery. I run a 3800 Gens Ace 4s in my Truggy and buggie and I can bash around the neighborhood for 15-20 mins without my LVC (set at 3.2v) kicking in. Shorter runtime at the track thou. I havent made it to the track this summer yet. Still getting everything together. Check out Hobbypartz for Gens Ace. If you havent seen the reviews and the graph posted in other threads through out the Tech they out perform most others. They SPANKED Max Amps "150C True Race" Packs that cost well over $100! Ive been running Hobbyking & Hobbypartz packs for well over a year. Worth every penny! I started lipo with a $80 2s SMC lipo that was a great pack, but soon found I can buy two 2s hardcases for $50! Sold the SMC and bought two more Flightmax packs!

But Also check out Blue and Sky Lipo on the same site above. They are priced great and perform great.
Zippy FlightMax, Turnigy and Rhino packs available at Hobbyking are great packs aswell. Dont let the cheap prices of the above mentioned packs fool you. They are as good if not better than many other higher priced comparable packs.

They also have a smaller selection in there new US based warehouse. But buying there will save you shipping charges and you'll get it in days not weeks!
