I am new to 1/8 off road, and I am wondering what is the best starter box out there right now. I have an older one I am borrowing from somebody, and it does not seem to have the torque to turn the motor over half the time.

I use an Ofna chrometop starter box. It will turn over just about everything. The mugen offroad starter box is also a great box.

I've got an ofna box....the black one with the purple pads. Its all I need for my application and the motors can be moved to accomidate various flywheel configurations.

Team Losi sells a starter box now that comes with the posts pre-mounted for the XXX-NT.

Now that I have that, my blue Ofna box will be converted over to 1/8th scale duty.

The chrome AE starter box is the best one I have used so far.
