Too bad you can't see the whole track. Other than having to run behind it, that looks really fun.

hilarious watching that guy run behind his car. seems like it'd be tough with people stepping on each others cars?

that looks more like walking, not running, that course is too tight to carry much speed

That track looks cool, but chasing after that cars like that seems pretty ghey.

In Europe Rally Cross with full size cars is quite popular and I suppose the guys in the video were trying to keep it as scale as possible. I reckon it would be our equivalent of your Short Course trucks with stages of rallys run in towns, countryside and a huge variety of surfaces. The cars themselves I'm sure you lot are familiar with include Subaru Imprezas, Ford Focus', Mitsubishi, Renaults and most manufacturers that produce everyday cars. They have team cars obviously backed by the manufacturers and also privateers who all compete often with some very close racing and spectacular crashes.

If you go back a few years in European Rally Cross they used to run a class where anything went as far as engines, car design etc.. You would often see a 600hp peugot 205 (very small hatchback) with turbos and superchargers coming out of the engine bay trying to get around a gravel track in the Bavarian Alps. The class was called Group B and was eventually banned or heavily regulated to make it less dangerous for the drivers and the crowds that watch, usually right next to the track or on it. Check out You-toobe, there are plenty of examples.

Whilst they look pretty ghey(?) it would be quite hard to do that track from a distance especially with the width at many points being a few inches larger than the car. I think it looks quite challenging and the track is brilliant with the little piles of half chopped wood and scale bridges. It is a very good replica of a real size Rally Cross stage and the guys racing should be commended for the attention to detail.

It is amazingly to scale, and very well thought out in design -- but "Big Picture" from an innocent on looker--I agree-looks a little goofy. But, I probably look goofy on the driver stand also. But i try and stay out of video's of my car going around the track..leave no evidence..lol

They never heard of a drivers stand? What about the old guys? Is their a handicap equation with this for points? What if I fall and can't get up? My race day is over? I do love rally cars by the way!! Hey Ron!
