Best quad LiPo charger
Please help.
What is the best quad lipo charger to charge 4x 4s 35C 5000mA LiPos simultaneously with balancing?
Ones I have seen are:
iMax 4b6 pro
turnigy 4x6s
Thunder AC6
I don't have a clue about any of them!

a 4s on a 50watt charger will only charge @ around 3.2amps. Just FYI!

I am new to this, so this might be a silly question but at 3.2amps how long would it take to charge the 4S 5000mA batteries?????
And, from looking around at the specs of all these quad chargers and their clones it seems they all only do 50W per channel!

To do what you want to do your going to need a serious charger. Probably one of the 1000w chargers.
Why do you want to charge 4 packs simultaniously?
There are a few options for charging 2 at a time but to do 4 your going to need a fancy hookup. Ive seen them on sites like epbuddy.com
I havent used any of the chargers on your list but I have been looking on the internet quite a bit to upgrade my charger. I havent quite decided yet but I think I am going to get a Protek charger and power supply but I am also considering an icharger from epbuddy. There is also another brand Revolectrix that builds high power chargers like what I think your going to need to do what your asking.
Here are a few facts your going to need to know. To charge a 5000mah pack at 5 amps takes 1 hour. 5000/5=1 Same goes for discharge 5000mah running a 1 amp load takes 5 hours to run dead. Does that make sense? mah is milliamps and its just amps in a different scale. Watts is amps x volts so to charge a 4s lipo the voltage range is 14.8-16.8 and you take your total watts available and divide by the voltage to get the amount of amps.
I use a 50w charger currently to charge my 4s lipos it starts at about 3.4a (14.8x3.4=50.32) by the end its dropped to 2.98amps because 50/16.8=2.98. To get a full 1c charge I would need at least 84watts because 16.8x5amps=84.
I figure to charge a 4s pack at 2c its going to take at least a 150w charger. Im probably going to get one of the 200w chargers out there just so I am not working the charger at its maximum.

If you must have 4 outputs then a few of those chargers are 6 amp/60 watt/200 watts.
GT power X-drive (240 watts)
Turnigy 4x6
Thunder T-6

I would suggest getting this charger with a ~25 amp power supply.
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...S-10A-200W-x-2
You can charge two 4s batteries at 10 amps each.
If you want to do 4x 4s batteries, get two chargers and a 50 amp power supply.

I would pay extra to not have "Venom" on it
OP, Ask yourself why you need to charge 4 4s quickly at one time.
Are you a basher and want to run for hours with no down time?(motor/ESC is not gonna like it)
Do you a race 4 classes that use 4s?
If you have the money, just buy what you need and be done with it
