Questions?? how do I program the remote?

Hi there,
New here so thanks in advance for the help.

I bought a 1/1oth 4x4 monster truck called mad truck for a 10 yr old.
We would like to know how to program or adjust the settings on the remote?

the remote itself says its a sprint 3-channel radio control
there are buttons called DT1 , DT2 , DT3 , DT4 , SW2
there is a DIRECT TRIM DISPLAY (not sure what trim means)
there is also a MODE AND CHANNEL atop a INCREASE DECEASE buttons

How do we make the front wheels go straight? what is the best radio freq to have it set on? Why does the reverse work sometimes and other times it dont?

Again thanks for your help we do need it.

Read the manual or if you don't have it, look for one online.

Seriously, check the manual....if not in English, hire a translator.

If you want us to do all the work after you forked out $150 for a toy grade RC, then you're in the wrong place.

trim means setting the center point, so if the wheels aren't straight when the transmitter wheel is centered then that's what you want to check.

reverse might be set with a delay, if you hold back on the throttle with some ESC's by default they'll brake, then after so many seconds it will kick into reverse.

as for the rest of it, you'll have to use the manual to figure out what those buttons do.

I'm guessing it's this truck...

The trim you want to adjust will be for Channel 1 by the way. I think it is Castle who puts this in their manuals, maybe Tekin but, Ch1 to turn, Ch2 to burn.

Just turn the radio and truck on and play with all the settings on the radio. You'll see what they do. Find which one adjusts the front wheels and get it as straight as possible. Drive the truck slowly away from you to make sure the steering is centered. One of the settings on the radio might adjust how fast the front wheels turn so it might not seem like it does anything untill you play with the steering. Did I confuse you more? good luck man

Yes this is the truck.
Is it really considered a over priced toy?

In the end, most likely. For around $50 more (assuming you paid the $150 someone else mentioned) you could've gotten a ready to run 2wd short course truck from a reputable company. (HPI Blitz rtr is $179 @ amain right nowhere) At the same time, your truck is better than your typical radio shack/ toys r us toys, as you can replace broken parts. Getting them may be difficult though.
