Basher rustler xl5 to ?
Hello I've been lurking in the forum doing a lot of reading and learning about the hobby but i still need a lil help as rustlers don't seem to be very popular here. I have an old rustler that the previous owner updated to the xl5 titan 12t setup and i just put a brand new titan in it as the kid beat the hell out of the one he sold it to me w/. I did the water cup break in and i've played w/ gearing and tried to be good about temps and keeping the motor clean but it seems like a ton of effort for a basher. I only got the car to play w/ my lil brother and we built a track in my backyard which is pretty fun. My question is, i want to go brushless and i think i want a sidewinder castle kit but which one do i need? sv2 5700kv, sv2 6900kv, or a sct setup? I want more power than the titan, but controllable power. I would like to go 2s lipo. also, am i going to have to watch temps like i do now or maintenance the car 24/7 like the brushed motors? And wat will the run times look like w/ 2s lipo and castle brushless?
Sorry its such a long post but i am ready to buy and need some answers so i dont waste money, its tight right now. Thanks in advance!

Just so u know castle 5700 and up is stupid fast. I love my castle and would recommend it to anyone but if you want controllable power you will have to tone it down. I have been using for about a year with almost no maintenance other than taking the motor apart about once a month or so and blowing it out with some cleaner and re-oiling the bearings.
I have a couple of 5000 mh lipos and get atleast 20 min out of one charge.

so 5700 is too much for a rustler or too much for a throttle happy rookie? And thanks for the reply man. Should i consider the 4600 set up? As of right now i dont go to any tracks but i eventually would like to. can a taller gearing or better tires help make it controllable? Also any ideas on what kind of speeds i would hit w/ the 4600 and the 5700?

look into the castle SCt kit 90.00 bucks new and the 3800kv 4 pole motor is legit!
