major con to the kyosho, it will probably be discontinued in less than a year. This is kind of how it works for all kyosho's. The other two trucks are fair game.

This is actually a rather common question. Both associated and losi are great trucks. Your biggest deciding factor will be what your lhs carries. If they carry associated parts, then get the GT. If they carry both, then I'd suggest the GT.

Both are great like they have said, losi is an easier truck to drive smooth and be fast and consistent. Ive owned both and have chosen the losi, the gt is stronger but it all depends on your driving for either truck.

MyLHS's are pure crap, run by ppl who are just salesmen/women that now absoulutely 100% NOTHING about R/C...One of them does stock kyosho and tamiya parts, at the cost of an arm and a leg...and a kidney or lung.

Any parts i get i will source directly from the USA.

I am leaning towards the RC10 GT factory team, but...

I'm having trouble budgeting, i know i need a good radio and servos, the kit, an engine....

But i cant find detailed info if any other parts such as clutch, engine mounts, pilot shaft etc etc etc are needed....I would HATE to be stuck for a few weeks with a truck thats missing one part that i didnt buy....

If you buy the FT RC10GT you will need-

1. Engine- short shaft- side exhaust (Pull start on non pullstart depending on the kit version you buy.
2. Servo x2
3. Reciever
4. Transmitter
5. Glow plug ignitor
6. Fuel
7. Paint for the shell

Everything else you mentioned comes with the car.

...it may also be good to stoc up on some spur gears..the original is plastic and does not survive very well when mixed with sand/dust etc. Alternatively get the Robinson steel spur/pinnion gear set.

As a counterpoint (and I am trying to be as unbiased as possible) I would still take a serious look at the Losi truck. If you plan on racing, the XXX-NT is the easiest to drive fast, and is adjustable to suit any driving style.

I can personally walk you through any questions you have with it. That's why I'm here!

Both trucks are great and each have their pros and cons.

(Something to keep in mind...Associated has been not-so-secretly testing the replacement for the RC10GT).

That's why I don't want one.... go Losi, like I will... eventually... I'll wait for the AD2, I have a feeling there will be one.

Thanks for the help guys!!

Both trucks are similarly priced, i've ruled out the kyosho, and am leaning towards the XXXNT....

ATM in my home state the racing scene is not very good, on sundays the BMX race track nearby usually has a few 1/8 buggies, monster trucks etc going round, so i'll stick to bashing the Ultima there with them till i get posted (i hope) to the mainland where the racing is better, then i'll get serious....
