Default How much timing?

Whats the safest amount of timing advance from the Havoc Pro SC esc? Its in a Sc10 running in the super stock class (17.5 with timing). Trying to get a general idea of what timing level everyone is running.

You should set your esc settings some where in the middle as far as timing and boost. Keep an eye on motor temps and keep increasing the timing. I am running a Speed Passion esc in my SC10 with max timing and boost with a 17.5 motor. 24/87 gearing and runs like a 10.5

I run Tekin stuff but I use 22 on the can for low traction and 12 for high traction with slicks. Max boost (timing advance) is 55 and another 8-15 degrees of turbo depending on the length of the straightaways. Geared at 22/87. If I have more on the can I use less turbo so it work out at the same total.

Im going to start the gearing at 22/87. Esc timing at level 5 of 8. What about the timing start point?

Im not sure about the Havoc but I have mine set at 4000 rpm supercharger set point. I believe this is the point the additional timing on top of the dynamic timing starts. This stuff is fairly new for me I am still learning, I hope this helps.
