Default Pro-line New Flo-Tek Short Course Body!

You guys see the new Pro-Line "Flo-Tek" body? Very cool! Going to take some time to trim and dremel out all those vents. They say it will prevent the "parachute effect" that some SC bodies have due to being so big and wide.

Pretty smart that they swiped the Monster Energy theme for their own "look." Why didn't I think of that!

There's a new Silverado body there too!

Looks cool.

Monster can get pretty protective of their stuff, wonder if that would ruffle a few feathers.

From reading the site...

It almost seems that they have the vents already cutout... I sure hope so.

If not... I won't be buying that body.

If so... It'll be the only one I buy.

It looks like they are cut in the front fenders, rear fenders, and rear window area.

I don't know if that will be enough though. I'd probably still cut out both door windows.

I agree though. If these come pre cut or maybe perforated so they pop out easy, they could be a hot ticket.

I like the body. I like all the cutouts. What I don't like is the side wing things. I think that starts to go away from spirit of SC racing. I've also started seeing people put rear spoilers of clear lexan on the back of their trucks to create more downforce. Those are the types of things that may start to kill SC racing. I mean, what's next, cab forward Shortcourse truck bodies that are really just widebodied Stadium Truck or Truggy bodies? I really hope it doesn't start getting to that point because it'll take a lot of the fun out of it and that's when I'll sell mine and just keep racing 1/8th scale. One of the BIG popularity of the SC classes is because of the realism, once that starts to go, then so too will the class and it'll go the way of the Stadium Truck. Never completely gone, but not as popular as it once was. So anyone who buys the body, nice body, but how about keeping the wings off.

The side dams that you see on these new bodies are actually used by the full-size corr trucks. As far as spoilers go, they should NOT be allowed at any track.

I'll buy one. It looks like it will work, if not I like how it looks.

I'm sick of people touting about how "scale" SC racing is.

i like it

minus the wing things, but it looks like they're optional. i look forward to seeing if this helps much. i imagine those three vents over the bed would help immensely.
