Default Which E buggy kit weighs more??

Which E buggy kit weighs more?? The Mugen Mbx6 Eco, Hot Bodies Ve8, AE RC8Be? I would mean with all electronics and batteries (4s) at least installed. I know you can't be exact but just looking for the info.

I think the RC8Be weighs just a tad more. I could be wrong.

These things are disgracefully overpowered to begin with. Weight as far as reducing the load isn't too much of an issue. However, finding the lightest vehicle possible to be able to add balance weight to achieve the best balance is never a bad thing.

I think Mugen is the lightest. I think Ve8 is pretty heavy

My rc8be with all factory team parts, tekin electronics, reedy 4s, and body and tires on weights 8.3 pounds. It was the heaviest compared to the mugens and ve8 at my track

thanks for the replies I was looking at all those kits, my pic is the Mugen eco(450.00) but the Ve8 is just such a great price (269.00)! and with the manual brake set up could be something there............

Go with the Mugen. You won't be dissapointed.

The weight of the vehicle shouldn't be the deciding factor on which 1/8th scale to get. They are so ridiculously overpowered that the weight is not that big a deal.
I think the stock Ve8 is the heaviest and over 9lbs with a 4S lipo. I never had any problem keeping up with the fastest cars out there. It may have been heavy, but it sure was planted and had great traction.

I would look at the Caster ex1.5R if you are interested in the mbx6 eco. My car with two 5000 mah 2s lipos, tekin RX8/1900 combo, all other electronics, and body comes it at 7lbs 12 oz.

Weight is not my only deciding factor but in Racing full size cars I know less weight is easier on parts, tires, brakes, engines ect..... that is why iI asked.

Looked at the caster looks like a nice piece but I am worried about parts avail. as compared to AE, HB, Mugen Losi ect....

The lighter the car the less power you have to use in a race. a heavy car takes a lot more throttle to clear a large jump or come out of a corner hard.... so with a lighter car you can get away with using a lower Kv motor which has less of a draw on your batteries, which means more runtime. the only down side is lighter cars feel more twitchy which can make them a hand full to drive

I'm 90% sure the caster comes from the same factory as the Mugen, but the ex1.5r can "share" parts with the mugen as the stock geometry is identical and the arms, hubs, etc drop right in if you're in a bind.

you could always convert the losi 810 to electric. then you could run a short course esc and motor in it and it would be stupid fast!

no because the 810 isnt a 1/8th and doesnt compare on a outdoor track to a 1/8th. Fair enough its lighter, but its also brittle when it comes to outdoor supercross tracks.
