Default Losi 8ight 2.0 conversion help

I have a losi 8ight 2.0 that Im converting to electric. I have the Losi conversion kit on the chassis and a Castle Creations MMM 2200kv system V3 for the truck ready to go. My issue is the pinnions fitment or lack there of.
I bought a 13 tooth per what my guys at the track say. I have the 45 tooth spur from the kit installed. The issue I have is that even adjusted all the way down the pinnion is still far enough that even the top of the teeth dont mesh. A good distance so. Even the 18 tooth that came with the MMM setup will not even get close.

Any Ideas?
If you need more info let me know. Thanks.
Jon

The only thing I can think of is your pinion is down too low on the motor shaft and is knocking against the motor plate when you try and adjust the mesh.

Or, the motor is pushed up hard against the plastic support that bolts onto the chassie at the rear of the motor not allowing any further movement.

Hope this helps.

Make sure the screws holding the motor to the motor plate aren't protruding beyond the face of the plate. I had the same problem and it took me a while to figure it out.
