Default so how can I convert my Losi 8 buggy to a Losi Short Course Truck

I have one losi 8 buggy, but the new ten SCTE looks better. so instead of buying one 10scte, how can I convert my 8 buggy to a maybe EightSCTE?

thanks.

Remove wing, install body mounts, drop on body. PRESTO, you have an 8th scale SCT.

The ten scte is based on the tenth scale buggy and truck they made so..... You can't make one out of the losi buggy unless you sell it to buy a ten scte. The losi buggy converted will be illegal to race against 1/10 sc im sure.

Not 100% sure on the losi stuff....

but the majority of 8th scale buggys, are hte perfect width/wheelbase for "1/10th" scale short course bodys...

i have a SC10 body on my RC8BE, making it my "sc104x4", there is nothing stopping these conversions from being legal to race against other SCT's, aside from mainly the voltage limits most places enforce, which is 2S.

looking up the specs on amains website for the sizing on the losi8, i see no reason why it couldnt be converted to SC4X4..you're going to need some STRONG body mounts, like i suggested, give the SC8E mounts a look and seee if you can use them, ive yet to break one, and i beat the hell out of my sc8e

Yup, that thing is pretty heavy to attempt a 2S setup. You'd have a hefty weight disadvantage. If its a 10th scale 4WD SCT you want, there's a better way. Sell the 8ight, & get a 10th scale 4WD SCT light enough to run 2S.

Ive ran mine with a tekin sc4x motor, and mmp ESC on 2s, with the correct gearing it seems to work well, and temps are reasonable.

have yet to try it on the track,im also using the tekno chassis with a clutch, and using mechanical disc brakes to help keep temps down..

but you are right, its alot of weight to be pushing around on 2S.
