ideal gearing for a castle 2200 in a 1/8 truggy?

I run my castle 2200 in my truggy with 12 or 13t cutch bells w/ 48t spur. I use to run the 50t spur but kept getting rocks etc getting caught as well as some impacts that would just destry the spurs.. cost too much so I just went back to 48 losi tekno 8t

i have been running 15-17t pinions on a 46t spur on my 2200 and 1800kv castles. minimum heat and plenty of speed.ran same pinions on a 50t spur as well and still heat issues were non existant.gear the truck to temperature.if it gets hot gear down. ran the same combos in my mbx5t before switching to rc8t.

do you know the gear ratios on the vehicle?
If you do, you can punch in your numbers here:

you want to shoot for 40mph initially if you don't have anything else to use. Then, at the track give it a go and gear from there.
