Default 1/10 Buggy Tire inserts

I need some info on tire foam inserts. I have never really looked into them, but I know that many think they can be almost as important as the tires themselves. I will be running my new 22 buggy on our tight high bite indoor clay track. I plan on using Gold JC Barcodes front and rear. What are good foams front and rear? How are the stock ones? Thanks

The JC closed cell inserts.

What inserts come with the tires?

The standard open cell inserts. For indoors, I prefer closed cell inserts and they actually help extend the life of the tires.

Do you mean JC's profiled inserts?

Yes. Proline rears work also but they currently do not have 2WD fronts.

I like the pro-line 2 stage inserts. They're a bit softer than the closed cell so they get more traction and are less prone to upsetting the car on rough sections. They last as long as the tires, I've had some I've used on two sets of tires.

I like the closed cell on new, smooth tracks. They definitely last longer but I'm faster with the 2-stage.

This is not always the case, on a high bite dry indoor track with high tire wear then yes, loomy track with little to no tire wear and the foams will die before the tire. CC inserts will soften and get better with age.

The rear tires wear out pretty fast here, but the fronts not so much.

Our track is pretty smooth, but there can be some pitting in the clay in places.

What about bomb 1?

Right now I'm thinking the jc profile up front with the 2 stage PLs in rear.

Or will the profiled rears work better for our super high bite clay with slight pitting in places?

I always liked the Epic Bomb1 firms. Hard to go wrong with them. It is my first choice for the rears. I cut them down and use them in the fronts also. I have yet to try the profiled inserts from JC. Due time.

proline cc rears are good on grippy clay

I still don't link any cc fronts on any surface

cc=closed cell, so they say

I'm running on indoor clay. It's pretty hard on tires, and I sauce heavily. Stock foams die before the tires are 1/2 worn out.

I and a few others at the track aren't 100% sold on the closed cell thing yet.

The jconcepts are too hard and then they break down and become too soft. Some people like how soft they get, some don't.

I'm yet to try a set of PL foams

I hear proline is they way to go, but everywhere is sold out or rear buggy closed cell...

3 online sites I use all said they expect them back in stock mid next week.
