Default Help me decide on motor and esc

I am trying to decide between a LRP SXX v2 and X-12 8.5t and a Tekin RS and Redline 8.5t for my SC10. The track I run on is an indoor clay track with pretty good traction when it is prepped. I have been running a Mamba Max Pro and Trinity D3 10.5, but after going thru 2 esc's in a week and a half, I am wanting something else with a little more punch. I just cant decide between the LRP setup and the Tekin setup. Help?

You can't go wrong with either, both are superb combos. Depending on the versatality/application you may want later, I'd recommend the Tekin.

I have heard good things about both. I would tend to lean a little more towards LRP though. Just check which one fits better with your budget

i run a tekin which i love and some of my friends run lrp and love them too. But like others said what is your budget like? That could make a big difference, but both are great. I just like the whole upgrade for tekin where all i have to do is download new software

both are in the budget, so thats not an issue. Both are usb up-datable. Just wondering what everyones opinions are. Especially anyone that has used both. Thanks for the replies.

I t is hard to beat the ease of operation and smooth power band that the LRP provides. I have the sxx v2 with x-12 8.5t combo in my sc10 and it is a fantastic performing combo.

Just installed a Tekin RS/17.5 redline combo to replace faulty/crappy Novak System. The power speed and smoothness made the Novak look like a Johnson 540 and mechanical 3 speed contoller. Go Tekin!

Going with the SXX v2 and X-12 7.5. Got a smoking deal through Premiere Hobbies. Thanks Jason!

Excellent choice. Is this deal still available through Premiere Hobbies? I'm interested in picking up a combo myself.

That said, LRP feels much more direct than Tekin. I have an RS Pro that I'm getting rid of in favor of the LRP.

You would have to get in touch with Jason Burks. His screen name is "rangerjkb"
