It's just cheaper in most cases to purchase a new buggy & sct every season. I race & practice weekly, my vehicles are worn pretty good after a season, so it's cheaper to purchase the new base model b4.1 or sc10 then to purchase new bumpers, arms, ball cups, bulkhead, front/rear carriers, caster blocks, transmission gears, & bearings. I just carrier over the aluminum & titanium bits, then sell the old ride on eBay.

My wife and I are "D.I.N.K.s" (double income no kids) I don't golf, smoke, drink, gamble... I don't even drink coffee. My wife supports my hobby because she has a hobby of her own. I'm able to buy new vehicles periodically when something looks cool. I like setting it up, painting the body, dialling it in, and then racing it. I really don't see a problem with it.

Some people think I'm crazy for wasting my money, others think I'm an idiot. I think they're jealous and they can all stick it in their asses. I know for a fact most of them have one or two of those other habits that cost just as much or more money than I spend on a new kit once every month or two.

The Associated has been around a long time and been tuned by their owners for a long time.
They pull the Losi out of the box, run it a little while and are now faster.
Says a lot about the Losi no?

This only happens with a small percentage of the people getting a new car. Most are getting the newer car because the old one does not work. Except the reason it does not work has more to do with the person holding the controller than it does the car. A lot of people know they are fast and if results are not reflecting this it must be the car.

Says a lot about the driver no? It's all driver. It's all about what the driver prefers. I've seen some drivers not like how the XXX SCT feels stock and prefer the Associated.

I'm neither. I like the Blitz.

It's the same drivers with the new ride going faster than before.

Don't get me wrong, I run the SC10 and have for a long time. On the sportsman level I've been a contender for a long time, the truck is really fast.

Just sayin I've got work to do in order to catch up to the few guys that switched to the Losi. I was equal to or better than them before they changed.
I drove theirs and was easily faster, if you haven't seen it yet I'm willing to bet that you soon will.

That is more than just an opinion.

Yeh, I've been beat by Slashes too but only when the driver is better than me. They will also destroy me in an even better truck.

Everything said, and that which will be said is opinion....for now. Lots of bias going on. Nothing wrong with wanting the newest toy. Nothing wrong with running what you know works either. Obviously, its good for the hobby and their respective classes. Myself, I'm an AE guy. But, I look forward to seeing a new losi on the track. It's been lonely with mostly AE running. There was a time not too long ago, I was one of the few AE's running. That said, even if the losi's are better in some aspect it only makes for better racing and pokes a fire in other companies to step up there game.

Now to my opinion.......AE RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!
