Default ofna fail-safe

has anybody experienced a radio rang reduction when using a fail-safe? ever since i installed mine i have had less radio range. when my car gets about 150' away my fail safe kicks in. the brakes go on and i have to hold my radio up in the air to get the throttle/brake servo to respond. the strange thing is when the car stops, if i turn my wheel i can clearly see the front wheels steering. and yes my rx and tx batteries are fully charged, i even tried switching to brand new alkalines. very odd- i think i will remove the fail-safe from the system and see what happens.

the radio is a ko propo ex11 presto.

Not 100% sure, but I though fail safes only work with Nicad/NiMh's packs. I use a ofna fail safe with my Hyper 7, but I use a 6v NiMh pack with no problems. You might call ofna and see what they have to say too.

I've had two ofna failsafes, and both of them were glitch boxes. One of them would engage the failsafe whenever I went through a certain corner of my local track, and the other would cause the steering to rock back and forth gently while the throttle was at neutral.
