HONESTLY scrap the 7, get the ve8 you will notice every aspect in difference.

Will my leopard 2000kv 4074 motor fit with the HHH chassis??

but in the end quality doesnt win races. A smart driver that picks the right setup (tires etc etc) and is consistent without crashing wins races.

well there is a guy at my local track who runs an associated rc8 converted to brushless. will the ve8 be better than that??

Define "better". They are both very durable. The Ve8 is more stable and forgiving. The RC8 has better high/low speed cornering, but can be twitchy at times. It will punish you for mistakes. It really depends on your driving style and type of track you will be racing on. An aggressive driver will probably favor the RC8.

well see now that ur talking about serious racing it starts to make u setup your car, run the correct tyres and then theres the main part, the driver has to be able to drive the car.

Depends on your driving skill in racing...but I think you will benefit with a new buggy. The Hyper 7 is a 10 year old platform and was decent back in the day.
Any of the current crop of big name buggies are all very close performance wise. Can't really go wrong with whats out there.
