there are alot of people that used sc10 diffs for the blitz and had to shim them out about 1mm on each side, did you possibly get it used and not know it was an sc10 diff?

Default Outdrives

How do you keep the outdrives from reaming out so bad and the diff from leaking? I was told I had the right O'rings but they are still leaking.

you could try the MIP diff like I did but I have luck with one and they other fried it's self
guys are hardening the out drives on the stock diff or you can use a stock SC-10 diff I do believe
also the side to side play can be left alone or shimmed out I shimmed mine with associated diff washers

Strc are coming out with hardened out-drives---soon I hope. For leaking diff use there orange o-rings they work great. Sorry don't know the part # off hand and I'm not in the man cave right now.

When I got my blits it came with the original x-rings. So I called hpi and they sent me the new updated o-rings. Never had a problem since.

I use these in my RTR diff and it never leaked again.

Make sure the case washer is also in good shape, if not it will leak. And finally put blue loctite on the 4 screws that hold it together, so it seals that off too and prevents them from backing out. Usually fill mine with 5000wt oil and it works like a dream.

But back to the topic, the MIP diff, I put one in my ESE and it was tight, not loose, I didnt have to shim it up at all. Not sure what the deal is, maybe contact MIP and see or try a different diff case.
