Default Thunder Tiger ST-1 1/8th Truggy BL Conversion: New Please Help

Okay I am finally giving in and going with the brushless craze. I was going to sell my ST1 truggy until I found two conversion kits but I need some tips on if what I'm choosing is a good choice or not...Anyone's advice or opinion would be greatly appreciated. Should I go with this conversion kit:
http://www.okhobby.com/product.php?id_product=1082
or this kit:
http://rcproductdesigns.com/index.ph...roducts_id=319

Okay that covers the conversion kit Now for motor/esc combo should I go with this kit:
http://www.rcplanet.com/Integy_Brush...p/inte2074.htm
Or should I go with this kit:
http://www.nitrorcx.com/ezrun-brushl...-combo-c4.html
Again can anyone give me some input please and lead me in the right direction as I am new to this brushless world!
Thanks in advance everyone!

Of those two, I'd go with the RC Products designs one. The other seems a bit cheap.

As for the brushless systems, the Integy one is way too high of a "KV" rating.

I don't know what KV that EZ run system is, but I'd recommend anywhere from 1300-2250kv

On a 1300kv, you'd use 6S.

On a 2250kv, you'd use 4S.

I really recommend a Tekin or Castle Creations setup however.

Okay that's what I was thinking about the kit!
Now for the motor I just got a deal to trade my Losi 427 for a
Tekin T8 1900kv, I want to run 6s only so I'm thinking I could get away with it on that combo...any esc suggestions and I really want to thank you for taking your time out to help me sir!

The Tekin 1900kv is a buggy motor. That would be too much load on the motor.

I recommend a Mamba Monster ESC or the Tekin RX8. Both good choices.

1900kv on 6S would be insane. For a 6S setup, you're going to want to check out a 1350kv motor from Tekin. You could also run a 2000kv on 4S.

The gentleman told me it was a T8 1900 KV and that it would work for my truggy. I do not understand on the website I see both a T8 listed for a buggy and truggy with the rating one 1900kv for the buggy then a lower 1700kv for the truggy in theory can't I just run the 6s on the 1900kv motor and get away with it since u say it will be too much load on the motor yet they offer a 1700kv....wouldn't the 1700kv be under too much load also
I am shooting for insane also sir!

T8 Motors
T8 (buggy) motors
TT2350 4030 2650kv
TT2351 4030 2050kv
TT2352 4030 1900kv
TT2353 4030 1700kv
TT2354 4030 1400kv

T8 (truggy) motors
TT2360 4038 2250kv
TT2361 4038 2000kv
TT2362 4038 1700kv
TT2363 4038 1550kv
TT2364 4038 1350kv

You could try and run a 6S on that setup, but good luck gearing it. For anything other than speed runs it's going to get real hot. That's the issue. I really don't recommend the 1900kv in a Truggy though.

Yeah I found that webpage when the gentleman first offered the motor to me...Could u please kinda explain why a 1900kv wouldn't be good yet the 1700kv would be but then they go to offer a 2000 and 2050kv respectively?
I dont understand this brushless thing, last time I ran electric all you did was get a 10T and call it a day

Also the EZ Run system is a hobbywing setup that runs a 2000kv motor sir.

In simplest terms, the truggy motor will always produce more torque. The can is different rather than just the KV rating. With a Truggy, you want a Truggy motor. With a buggy, you can run a truggy motor if you want. It is lighter so it can handle a more powerful system. However, when you try and use the buggy motor in a truggy, it's just going to be too much on that motor.

Here's another thing to check out.

Yes, you could run a 5s or 4S lipo on a 2000kv truggy motor from Tekin.

I am not sure on that EZrun setup. I do not know anything about that setup whether or not it is buggy/truggy friendly.

Okay well since you said that the 1900 won't work for my truggy I have no need to worry bout going with a smaller "S" rating....Check out thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ndsjWAohPo
It's the EZRun Hobby Wing system on a E-Revo With 6S Power....I've read nothing but good reviews about it every forum i'm on!

An E-Revo is similar in size to a truggy. It's worth a try! Just be careful gearing it. This will be crucial especially running 6S on a 2000kv motor.

The gearing should be a Mod1 type pinion/spur...
