SPX8 or RX8 for 4x4 sc?
On the wall between these two. Hoping to get a little more feedback from others. From what I gathered,
Tekin pros-has excellent customer service and super fast turnaround. I like the programming options w/hotwire. My RS Pro works great.
Cons-much larger footprint and heavier. Will it fit in the SC10 4x4? Don't know enough about reliability.
LRP pros-smaller and lighter. Definitely fits the 4x4. My SXX comp V2 is smooth and have had no problems.
Cons-slow service, last motor I sent in took 2 months to get back. Lacks the tunability of the RX8. Don't know enough about reliability.
I realize these electronics take some abuse and they can go poof at any time
Thanks

Yup, it will fit just fine. If you add the cap size to the footprint of the LRP it's about the same size as the Rx8.

SPX8 is not needed or recommended for SC4wd. The regular SXX TC V2 will work just fine. The SPX8 is only needed if you are running 3s or higher.

That contradicts what LRP told me. The TC will work fine but I may want to keep an eye on temps w/550. I may never have a problem but I like knowing it will never be an issue. I was told that with the SPX8 (or the RX8) I won't have to worry.

why would the spx8 not be recomended for the sc10? i would think running it with 2 cell lipo's and a 550 motor in a 10th scale truck would would be a good thing?
