Hi All,

I am thinking to by the Hudy set-up system for 1/10 off road, but I would like your advice if it is useful or not.

It will be used for the Losi 22 too? I supposed yes.

Any suggestions are appreciate.

Thank you.

I have the Hudy setup system, I've used it on my B4.1 and B44.1. It’s a great tool but not a necessity, It all depends how serious you are about your setup, racing and how huch $$$ you have to spend. Most of the hand held adjustable camber gages do a decent job and are a fraction of the price.

Hudy systems are great. I use them for initial setups. After your setup is done you can use other hand held tools. But from time to time it is good to come back to set-up system. So if you can borrow it from a fried - you will be good with out one. But if you are serious about racing and no one around you have this set-up station - buy it. Also it is recommended to have with this 1/10 set-up system these items:
#108960 Alu Nut for 1/10 Off-Road Set-Up System (4);
#107701 Chassis Droop Gauge Support Blocks 20mm for 1/8 (2);
#107720 Chassis Ride Height Gauge 17mm to 30mm for 1/8 & 1/10 Off-road.

And of cause it is good to have:
#108201 Solid Setup Board;
#108211 Plastic stick on setup decal.

Hi, I'm interested in adding a setup station, but the above setup board is labeled for 1/10 touring cars. Is it large enough to support 1/10 buggies? Thanks,

1/10 onroad stuff works fine for 1/10 buggies, but the toe measuring ruler deal isn't wide enough so i use a ruler. If i were to buy instead of borrow i'd get the Integy setup station. For the most part I use a plexiglass square i already had, the 2 wheels for the rear tires(or whichever you're not measuring camber/toe on at the time) and the 2 jigs for the front. The 4 pieces and 4 nuts i keep in a zip loc to minimize the space they take up. Good luck whichever you choose

I have the hudy setup, and love it but a friend of mine has the losi 22 and the front axles don't fit through the holes, not sure if you could mod it some how.

Since I got one, I have no idea how I did it without it. Especially on a sedan where you need to check the droop/camber/toe/rideheight every run to see if you bent something.

Very useful if you want accurate measurements. However standard gauges do the job well if used properly. Also for off-road we can be a touch off and be ok unlike the super accuracy required by a 1/8th on road which is where setup stations started. For offroad the biggest thing is getting your settings consistent, whether or not it's 1.4 degrees or 1.5 is not that critical. I have the Hudy off road and with a handful of spacers/nuts/etc iv'e had a ton of cars on it.

I love the sound of a pan car smacking a plow disc.

My favorite is the silence between the CLANK of hitting the dot and the inevitable carnage when gravity does its thing.

I bent a ball stud on my 4w SC and found it before i broke it with regular use of the setup station. It had half a degree of extra camber, where'd tht come from?

take the plunge and drill it out, once it's "bolted" on and there is no movement it's all good. You can add spacers for other cars in the future.

That is what is different about having the accuracy of a setup station.

As for that silence... you mean those precious moments when the car is flying ...
hehe

one of my first "real rc cars was an Associated RC150 on road nitro, it was only natural to make a ramp and jump it....

If you have 1/8 scale off road station you can use these.

https://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?...3#.UwQa8CjeOkg

I have them for my 22 2.0 and SCTE they work perfect
