RC8BE is a great buggy. Nice durability, plenty of great support, setups sheets, and very smooth on the track in my opinion. The VE8 is nice as well.

They are both great buggies, depends on what part support you have locally. I've been racing my ve8 for the past year and I've enjoyed it. But I feel the parts have worn quickly.

If you do get the ve8, I'd suggest buying the aluminum skid plates and aluminum servo horn. Good luck with your decision!

Im all for "Thread Consolidation"!
More people should practice it!!

Im leaning towards the Ve8 myself, simply because its cheaper... I already have a MMM and a 2650, as well as a Savox SC1256tg, all from my Slash 4x4.

I need something thats gonna be fairly durable until I get the hang of 8th scale speeds.

Parts support for both is pretty good here, if not...always got the Interweb!!

+1 for the RC8Be. I race one and love it. I've never driven the ve8 but i have had a Losi 8E 2.0 and definitely prefer the AE for my driving style. I'm sure the ve8 is a nice buggy too.

ok I like associated and have a rc8e and a rc8te. I am looking at a new race car and its either the rc8be, the ve8 or... the mugen eco and have heard great things. I do believe the rc8 has the best parts support.

Well with the ve8 you have ALOT more options, we all know the ve8 comes with a stock plastic chassis, but did you know you have more then just that as a option with the ve8? theres a chassis designed and developed by HHH industries for the ve8 and lets you set the car up the way you want to set it up. Once again both are great cars but on this specific choice ve8 is possibly your car. Buy one and enjoy it

I recently decided on the Ve8 after MUCH research and debate. I really like the community support of the Ve8 with the many aftermarket chassis to go on plus the stock one is solid with a few simple upgraded parts as mentioned earlier. On top of it all, the price was great too. This is my first 1/8 buggy and I'm planning to starting racing it in a few more weeks. If for some reason the racing scene does not work out, then I'm not out a crazy amount of money either.

Any way, I vote for the Ve8. If you really like it, you can add on great stuff!
