Dremel with metal cutting disk- cut a groove on the top of the screw to fit in a nice big flathead screwdriver.

What kind of screw? A button head or countersunk?

Is it stripped or the hex is rounded out?

Ok, just like sean said, get a dremel and make a slot for a flathead.

If the screw is really too small for it, i have had times where i just grind off the whole top of the screw, and then turn it out with pliers. This calls for a new screw of course lol.

Another option worth a shot is to lay some aluminum foil across the top and see if you can wedge the hex wrench/foil in there and back it out. Its worth a shot anyway and has a small chance of working.
