I just purchased a brushless e-maxx and stampede off someone and he sent me 3 battery packs. I have never charged lipo before so I charged the batts in balance mode on a ac-6 charger at 4.6 amps set to 3s 11.1 volts 5,000 mah which is what all 3 batteries are. the first one I charged stopped when the charger said 5000 mah but the other 2 were different, 0ne went to 1124 mah and the other went to 979 mah and the charger said complete. all 3 went to 12.6 volts so are the other 2 that didnt go to 5000 mah bad ? he said he didnt use them much because they were too powerfull and only had like 4 charges on them because he preffered his 2s batts.

they went to 900 and 1110 because they were not fully discharged. charger shows how many mAh it put back into the battery. what matters is the end voltage 12.6V or 4.2V per cell

You should watch the one that said it put 5000mAh back in. The other two batteries should be fine, but you should not be putting 5000mAh back in a 5000mAh battery. That means it has been over discharged and could be damaged.

that is the drawback about used lipos, you can never tell how they have been treated.
