Great work, I think this looks awesome. Are you going to add 1/8th - 17mm hex buggy tyres to it?

From your sig, I see you have a hyper 9e, could you please try you're Hyper 9e body on there to see how well it fits?

I've got a 10TT as a base and I would like to do something similar, but the only thing stopping me which 1/8 buggy body to would fit.

I got to drive this thing yesterday at LRH hobbies in socal and MAN!!! This thing drives + flies soo much better than any normal 10SC would. Very dialed feeling to the 'truckgy' this way. I myself had a TT before and am contemplating scooping up a 10SC for cheap to do this. Thanks for letting me get some hot laps with it Isaak!

This thing handles so good. Just like the hyper tt only way easier to drive

what parts did you use for the conversion? Are you still running the SC wheels/tires?

This has given me an idea.

Fit a buggy body on it and I bet it would make a great indoor 1/8 scale setup.

That is what i'm running. The castle SCT combo with a 16t pinion. It is room temp every time it comes off of the track. I love this combo

I have done the exact thing (used a mini STe as donor - same diffs etc) and used a nitro sc chassis, dogbones and chassis braces (nitro chassis has diff further back so its better balanced).

1/8 wheels and adaptors and a buggy body and you are done (hyper 9e shown).

Mine has a novak 4.5 550 with 14 pinion on 2 cell lipo and its a lot faster than my friends 8 scale conversions.
Its lightweight nimble and jumps beautiully.

Its just a shade over 4 pounds

Sorry to hijack the thread

That looks awesome too!

Reason I haven't been a huge fan of 1/8 scale indoor is because most people still ran their outdoor setups so they were over powered for indoor and it just made it not look as fun. This looks like a cheap way to race 1/8 scale indoors.

Both conversions are looking awesome, you guys have convinced me to convert my 10TT.... A lightweight 1/8 buggy sounds like a great mini project.

interesting how much of the mass of the hyper is upfront... I have a few ideas on how to lighten the back because I do have a nose dive problem
