Default Traxxas Slash Rear Shocks Sit and I cant figure out why???

On my slash 2wd, when the rear of the car is pressed down the shocks do not recoil. (I put brand new shocks with new shock oil and it still does the same thing)

Any suggestions???

thats because the slash comes with progressive shock springs which mean at the top of the spring its stiffer and the bottom it is softer .

The stock setup uses a big spring preload spacer- try one and see if it helps.

Well, my other slash does not have that problem. Whenever I land a jump or when I simply push down on the rear, it stays completly down and will not come back up unless I physically pull it back up.

sounds, like the shock oil is low or the shock bladder is teared or just bad and maybe a rebuild for the orings in the shocks also.

or theres air bubbles in the shock oil inside.

You could have a bent hinge pin that is causing binding, pull off the shocks and make sure the arms move freely.

You also could have bent the shock rod. to check for this, take the shock off of the car and move it up and down. if it semms to be getting stuck, my gess would be you bent the rod. Simply remove the shock cap and the small end pice at the end of the shock rod, figure out wich way its bent and use a vice and a small hammer or pliers to bend it back. This problem has happend countless times to my slash. Hope this helps!

Something is binding in your suspension. Most likely you have a bent hinge pin. Remove and roll your hinge pins on a flat table to make sure they are straight. You may also want to ream out the arms to make sure that all the suspension parts are moving smoothly.
