this look very good, being a hong nor it will not cost much.Cant wait for it to be release. And SuperEk4 pls dont claim to be the founder of 1/8 ep and 1/10 4x4 sct class in singapore. You are not!there are many others who raced before u so pls dont take all credit.Dont act like some yaya papaya big time racer when all u race is in a class where no one want to race.I hope to see u in a real race soon with many ppl racing and not one of those race u organize where there is not even 10 racers.

I was working on my SCRT10 last night and it is definitely the right width to meet the ROAR specs for 4wd Buggy. The ends of the axle shafts are right at 250mm. So converting my SCRT10 to a 10th scale buggy will work. I think the Kyosho 4wd Buggy wheels will fit the 12mm HEXs. Does anyone know if anyone else makes 12mm hex 4wd buggy wheels?
Checking out the RC-Monster chassis kit it looks to be a great option. $85 for the chassis, front dogbone, battery tray, front steering brace, and servo/reciever mount is pretty good. I think the stock motor mount should be good enough. All I would need after this is the rear wing mount kit ($10) and a body($20) as well as tires and wheels ($40). I think the B44 bodies will work so that is my plan.
To get this rolling I will use my Novak HV4.5 motor. It is a bit much but to get started why not. I already have it. Can you say mini 8th scale!!!

After seeing a few threads I think I'm going to pick one up off of ebay this weekend and convert it to a 4wd buggy. It looks tough as nails and should be really durable.

Tq racing's 4wd drive uses hex 12mm hex wheels all the way around as well as the Hot Bodies D4, & Caster S10b pro. With the TLR 22 coming out I believe that they use a 12mm hex in the rear.

I have been running my SCRT10 for almost a year and it is very tough in a SCT form. Once this is converted to a 4wd Buggy I would expect even more durability much like an 8th scale. I am really used to this chassis at this point and really don't want to get a fragile kit that I don't have spare parts for.
The more I look at this I may actually get a used CRT.5 or SCRT10 and convert too so I can keep my SCRT10.

Nice work Gene! You won't be disapointed. I don't see the need for the monster chassis, the pro chassis is long enough. Everyone should migrate over the CRT.5 brushless thread.
Got the CRT on the track Wed. night, ran w/ the 13.5 4x4 buggys.
Out of 5 drivers I qualified 3rd, I was able to stay on the lead lap.
The main had to be combined, the full mod 4x4 and 13.5 4x4 buggys together. There was a total of 8 drivers, I finished 5th in the main, 1 lap off the leaders, 2nd out of the "13.5 class".
My CRT is still running the stock bow-ties, which are less than ideal for the hard packed wet track we run on. Hopefully with some better tires I can continue to climb the ladder.
I'm still using the Castle SCT3800 system, geared 17/46.

I plan on using the SCT 3800 system as well. What type of pinion does it require? Mod 0.8?

Mod 1 for the pinions. Get the scrt10 plastic spur gear, makes a huge difference in noise and it's also lighter and will increase accerlation.
I used the SCRT10 battery/esc/rx trays, motor mount and plastic spur.
It drives like the scrt10 a little, at least w/ the stock bowties it slides instead of rolls.

scrt10 converted to buggy vid
He's bashing around his yard and it does not look like he went for a 10th scale conversion but more of an ultralite 8th based on the wheels and wing. But I'm inspired. I think i'll check some dimensions on my extended chassis crt .5 Cant be too hard to make this thing a 10th scale buggy. IMO

Good so it'll fit the class but now there's a matter of keeping the hard wing from the crt.5 and finding a body that will fit and mount properly. My E conversion is the rc bros version so the battery stands up. That may be a problem. A 3-diff 10th scale 4wd buggy will be crazy tunable! I'll have to check with dirtburners or nankin to do a test fit of their different 4wheel buggy bodies. I'm thinking it'll be dremel it up and go.
