Hi. I got a Traxxas Bandit (brushed) about a month ago and had no problems with it. I recently just got a 9.6v 5000mah battery, and today the motor was smoking. Now it doesn't turn except for when I spin the wheels, and even then its not good. Is the battery too much for the motor or could something else have caused this? I'm new to RC (good ones, I've had xmods before, LOL) so I'm not sure about this stuff.

you need to gear down in order to run that battery because the motor would spin to fast and heat up..

witch caused your failure.
