Cleaning a E-Maxx and a Revo
 

I have a TC3, a E-Maxx and a Revo. Just got into this hobby a little over a month ago, and as you can tell, i went all out.

I am lovin it!

But my trucks are getting a little dirty. I have blown the major dirt out with my air compressor, but I see pics of guys with crystal clean trucks. Is there a way to "wash" the truck down, or do I have to break it down and clean each part?

I dont have a huge problem doing this with the E-Maxx, but the Revo still scares me ;)

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated, thanx.

Get a can of WD-40, and an old toothbrush, and have at it!

WD-40 is safe for any plastic and won't rust metal (which means you don't have to remove all your bearings before cleaning). Some people use denatured alcohol, which has been known to soften or eat away at some plastics. Simple Green works well but must be followed up with WD-40 to prevent any rusting of metal parts.

So I can just spray WD-40 anywhere on the truck? Literally anywhere? I am sure I will have to watch out for the electronics, but they are mainly covered.

take apart the whole truck get a rag and spray wd40 or pledge or w/e else people use and wipe the part
spray rag again wipe another part
repeat until truck looks perfect

I am a little weary about taking apart the Revo, but I guess I just gotta dive right in there and learn.

WD-40 isn't good for recievers and such, but you can clean servo cases just fine. You shouldn't really need to take anything apart, usually spraying dirt with WD-40 and blowing it off with an air compressor will get it clean.
