Default Drag brake on 4x4 vehicles

Who all runs some on their 4wd vehicles. I have been debating on trying it but was worried about how it would act in the air off the throttle. Thoughts?

Not a good idea if you need to let of the throttle in the air.....It will almost instantly nose dive and it will be very hard to pull out of it. It might be a good thing to try if your track has only a few jumps though

I know you're bored.... But your truck is fine... No need to be jacking with everything.

I even use a bit of push control. The motor drags too much for me when driving normally.

The only reason I want to try it is for the corners where it's hard to get on the brakes then back on the gas. I think I will try a little and see if that helps set the truck up more consistently. I guess the only thing I'm worried about is how hard it will be to not forget I have it in the air.

Definitely be careful if your track has large jumps. That won't turn out well.

No doubt there would be a period of adjustment learning how to change your driving style but thats not to say it wouldnt necessarily improve it over time. Give it a try!

What motor are you running? Most of the 550 can motors have more than enough motor drag that you do not need to do this. It's usually just the opposite that you can't keep the front end up without staying on the throttle.

Not only will it make it harder on tracks w/ jumping but it will increase heat in both the motor and ESC. You don't want any drag.. just use the throttle and brakes I actually set my throttle to be on ever so slightly so there is zero motor drag, like w/ a nitro (clutch).

Forget braking in the corners, WOT is what keeps the burms built up.

I heard the best description of how to drive a wheeler from a AE Team Driver

Full Wood or Full Break. You should never be between those two points on your throttle when driving a wheeler!
