Tekin RS ESC question
#7
The RS is only rated for a 5.5 in a 2wd application. 6bl SCT's were not around when the RS line of speedo's were made.
If you want a buller proof 4wd SCT setup get the Rx8 and either the 4.5 or 5.5 Sc4x motor. The current 4wd SCT's are 5.5lbs or more. That maybe 1/10 in size but not weight.

Randy, if I might. Have you any knowledge/experience with the Hyper TT? You think an RS/6.5 will be pushed too hard? I can't compare as I don't have a 4WD SC, but I would imagine it is lighter.... Thx

Please see the Tekin threads, I think there is also a RX8 thread that may be able to assist you. http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...s-offroad.html

The hyperTT is the same platform as the 4wd SCT Hyper 10. The tires are different yes but you're still hovering over the 4lb mark or more. The 6.5 Redline will be better in this platform but once you've used the Sc4x you'll never go back.
My vote: Rx8 with the Sc4x 4.5.

Thx Ranger...I am aware of that thread, just thought I'd take a stab here :P
Thx for the info Randy. I am currently running the RS/8.5 but wanted to experiment.
