From 'cha0tik' on another forum, this stand's tilt isn't too bad:

that is a cool stand.

with alittle modification you can make a guitar foot rest sit level. I got two of them from guitar center and noticed that they didn't sit level. After alittle grinding and redoing the holes and using other small bolts you can easily make it sit level. If I get a chance I will post pics of mine.

I have a Losi stand that works perfectly for my truck chassis. I wish it could get a little higher though and have that adjustability. For now I'm happy with my 18 dollar piece of plastic LOL

That looks like a nice stand but a little large to pack in a toolbox...no?
The guitar foot rest is cheap, sturdy and fit nicely in my toolbox. For the home shop stand I'm using one from AJS machine.com but I wouldn't want to drag it around everywhere.

I personally use the duratrax stand also. I like it because it spins and I actually had a machine shop make me a longer stand so I can put my Tmaxx up on it also with the wheels on. Only cost about 10 bucks for a new piece.

I sure like my Duratrax stand. I've been using it for years and couldn't imagine using something else. I really like that it spins, but dosent use bearings, they seem to always turn when you don't want them too.

BTW, the guitar foot stand. One of those reasons I don't buy RC "branded" stuff when I can find the "real" thing somewhere else. I'm always looking for non-RC stuff that crosses over. After run oil is a biggie, I'm still using the Marvel Mystery Oil I bought 5 years ago. I can't stand these companies putting a super big markup things just because they slap a label on it.

Yeah, THE RACK is a little bigger than the other stands on the market and you are correct that it won't fit into a pit box. But, do you put you car into your pit box? Probably not, most of the guys that use this stand clamp their car into it while their transporting from home to the track. And in most cases only use this one stand, not one for home and one for the track.

I also have a hard time understanding how these companies that make the guitar stand, the Duratrax stand and such can call them work stands. How much work can actually be done on your car while sitting on this stand? I have tried and tested a huge quantity of these stands and the result is the same every time, the car slides around or spins when your trying to make some adjustments. Lets not even talk about doing a motor change... Not very user friendly.
