Trying to sell this rustler for a friend he was wondering what it is worth.

Usually, used RCs sell for about half of what they cost unles sit hass a lot of additional items like charger, batts, tires etc.

Dont let these guys BS you a used good working vxl rustler normally goes for around 150-175

Check ebay. VXL systems alone are getting bid up to $125+

The VXL system alone will fetch $100 almost dont get screwed. $150 is very reasonable but if you hold out you may get $180 if you leave the battery in.

sell it as a vxl combo, then the rest of the car as a roller.
probably can get $100 for the esc/motor and another hundred for the roller.

$100 for a rustler roller??? Yeah right, thats about what b4's and t4's go for. I wouldn't put it on ebay, unless you put a reserve on it. Ie, I bought that controller with receiver brand new off ebay for my daughter for $10. Seperate all of it and sell it on here to get the most cash. Might be hard to sell here though being you a newb with no trader rating.

I bought a used Rustler roller for $50.

I wouldn't spend more than $60 for a used VXL combo.

Yea,..+1 on splitting it. Say...$80 for the VXL system and $75 for roller with radio and servo. Or maybe a better price sold RTR. I think youd sell faster at a reasonable price.

I'd HIGHLY doubt you'll ever find one for $60 as I've sold literally dozens of used ones and the speedo alone bids to more than $50 EVERY time + shipping.

Used rustler roller = not much money.

What I'd do is find a REALLY cheap brushed system, leave it RTR with the brushed, battery, radio and sell the VXL combo separate. DO NOT waste time parting out a Rustler here or Ebay.
